Macrame, a 70’s icon, has made a comeback in a big way!
Join Leisa on a Tuesday evening to learn and practice fundamental macrame knots that can be used to create decorative and functional shapes, while you create a modern wall hanging to adorn your home.
You’ll be knotting whilst sipping on tea and enjoying a grazing platter on this chilled Tuesday evening.
Your finished piece will measure up to 90cm wide and incorporate natural 5mm cotton cord and a wooden rod. The knotty skill set learned in this class will definitely set you on your way to creating future tapestries, plant hangers, and more!
If you can find a beautiful & “fairly” straight stick to use instead of your rod, please bring it along! The natural texture and curves of wood give your work an organic feel. You may prefer the neatness of a wooden rod however.
Suitable for those 16 years of age or over.
